A screw loose?

Join us in the madness and send us your personal artistic contribution to a collage of expression that together will form a huge chandelier in our gallery at S12!

A light in the dark and a collage of artefacts. We are open for whatever comes our way and see this as an opportunity to have some fun and tweak the borders of known forms of expression, styles and backgrounds which in return will give us a picture of our time.

Your contribution will be one of many that together will form a chandelier. We picture us receiving many artefacts in different styles, materials, shapes and sizes. Even though it will be part of a chandelier it doesn’t need to be transparent or translucent, the shadows and reflections can be just as interesting. The contribution can also be the source of its own light or sound.

Open up for madness!

The most important thing is that you use the screw we sent you and attach your object to it. The screw will in turn be screwed into a structure that hangs from the ceiling so it is important that the cords of the screw are intact and free. The screw is a European M6 or 6mm in diameter. It can be replaced by another screw as long as it is exactly the same diameter. The other important factor is that the object should not be bigger or heavier than one screw can handle.

Your contribution needs to be in Bergen by the 20^th of November.

Sorry about the short notice but I hope you can manage. Send it to S12 Galleri og Verksted, Skostredet 12, N-5017 Bergen and mark it as a gift. If you have catalogues of your work or other publications you would like us to take in commission we would be happy to do so. (S12 takes 35%).

The chandelier will be on display in our gallery from the opening on the 27^th of November, but we will also be accepting contributions after that date and see it as a work in progress until the 20^th of December when we will auction it off.

Your artefact will not be returned and will through the auction be a contribution to S12 which in return will help others through projects, exhibitions and programs taking place in S12.
